Bespoke Made to Order Metalwork

Metal Chieftain is an Edinburgh based bespoke metalwork service. Our aim is to provide high quality custom products for homes, businesses, agriculture industry and workshops.

The idea for metal chieftain started because we realised that so many of the products people use today are factory built, mass produced and made using the cheapest and lowest quality materials on the market.

We have a long history of working in the agriculture industry, we thought this would be a good place to start our research. Our assumptions had been correct. Most of the products we tested were not fit for purpose, certainly not in high use high impact situations and would never have lasted more than a few years on a working farm.

Next, we looked closer to home into our own workshop, particularly at the storage solutions, in order to see if we could make an improvement. The short story is that we could. Not only could we build our storage stronger, more secure and more fit for purpose. We could also customise the shape and size to make the maximum use out of the space that we had.

Now we were on a roll. We looked towards the garden and leisure industry. Benches, tables, fire pits. To our surprise we found it really hard to get any custom garden furniture. Yes, we were able to pick from a couple of standard sizes, but when creating your perfect garden that suits you as an individual, a handful of different sizes are not very helpful. Metal Chieftain allows our customers to not only create furniture with their perfect dimensions. But to collaborate with us in order to create eye catching unique designs for the furniture that would be the envy of nosey neighbours everywhere.

We don’t like our customers creativity to feel constrained. This is why we offer an upload section in our enquiry box so that people can add the images that have inspired them and then we work with you directly to come up with the perfect design.
